We proudly present the folding knife Hard Task ANV A 400. We’ve waited for it, but it was definitely worth it.

The design is based on the fixed-blade Hard Task ANV M 200. Our goal was to create a smaller, folding sibling to the fixed blade. The design and technical solution were once again crafted by lead designer Ondřej Němec.

The result is a folding knife with excellent ergonomics and a sleek, functional design. It’s not a small knife – we wanted something you can work with. Yet, it remains pleasantly lightweight while maintaining its rigidity. You won’t even feel its weight in your pocket or on your belt.

Knife specifications:

  • We chose the ALOCK system as the locking mechanism.
  • The blade is made of SLEIPNER steel, hardened to 60 HRC, mounted on bearings in liners, ensuring a smooth and easy opening and closing mechanism.
  • Blade coating: DLC
  • Handle material: G10
  • Total length: 248 mm
  • Blade length: 105 mm
  • Blade thickness: 3 mm
  • Weight: 137 g

Each knife comes with a unique serial number and the Hard Task logo. This version is available exclusively to Hard Task Rangers members and Hard Task clients. It is not for public sale.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SLEIPNER STEEL PROPERTIES

Sleipner is a high-alloy, semi-stainless steel. Uddeholm Sleipner is highly alloyed and excellent for all kinds of surface treatments. While not fully stainless, its higher chromium content prevents deep rust formation, instead developing an interesting patina that gives the knife a unique appearance. It offers more corrosion resistance than K110 steel and is ideal for hunting, chopping, bushcraft knives, or blades that require high performance and edge durability.

  • Good wear resistance
  • Good toughness
  • High strength (<60 HRC) after high-temperature tempering
  • Good dimensional stability during heat treatment
  • Good machinability and grindability
  • Excellent for surface treatments
